TeenScreen is a very controversial so-called "diagnostic psychiatric service" aka suicide survey; done on children who are then referred to psychiatric treatment. The evidence suggests that the objective of the psychiatrists who designed TeenScreen is to place children so selected on psychotropic drugs.
"It's just a way to put more people on prescription drugs," said Marcia Angell, a medical ethics lecturer at Harvard Medical School and author of "The Truth About Drug Companies." She said such programs will boost the sale of antidepressants even after the FDA in September ordered a "black box" label warning that the pills might spur suicidal thoughts or actions in minors. (The New York Post, December 5, 2004)
TeenScreen is based on the thoroughly discredited "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders".

Well when you think of todays society there is a huge push to understand why the average child teenager or young adult does the things they do. If you follow the way that our government has tried to establish ways to keep our young society "under wraps" they have always done things that are very contravesial and if the parents of these children being brain wahsed by these psychiatrist cant do the research and find out for themselves if indeed these drugs are harmful or not they cant be upset with anybody but themselves. Any way if people are so concerned with this website why dont they do as they did with HipHop and ban the aspects and issues tat are dicussed, you say First Amendment Rights what first amendment rights no one has the freedom of speech in this country cause if we get cuaght saying certain things we could possibly be prosecuted for it and if a reporter in this country cant right the things that he sees fit without being investigated then give up on the entire concept of freedom of speech.
